Da Da Da Da Da Da Da! Aroooooooo! Woooo! :P

June 29, 2008

Well, Chicago was just flat out awesome! :)

I spent some time out with my Uncle Jeff, who is a hilarious and friendly dude. We went out and explored around Chicago and went to some music stores and had dinner with friends of his and the entire experience was just awesome. :D

We started out at a small music store and there’s this goly darn gosish pretty girl at the counter, if you dont mind me detailing, she had long black hair, these big dark, friendly eyes, and well, a nice body. Overall, she’s damn cute! Friendly too. :)
I got a few T-shirts from there, a Stevie Ray Vaughan one, a tye dye Bob Dylan one, a red Eric Clapton one, and a Jimi Hendrix one. As she was checking them out at the counter, I made conversation with her and she seemed pretty cool, she told me my choices in shirts were good so boom! She’s got good taste in music! **insert beer glasses colliding and a “Woooohoooo” chant here**
She also told me I was a lucky bastard for having dimples. [hehe] I wasn’t sure what to say at all, I just smiled and said thanks. She asked me if I was in college and I told her I was just a Junior in High School. She looked pretty surprised and said, “Wow, you look older than that.” Again, I just smiled and said thanks. Inside, I was smiling and giggling like a child because I was trying to look older!

She was also kind enough to request another music related merchandise store for me to check out, Rock America, which was at a mall. And alright! I’ll skip the beer glasses colliding and woooohoooo chant thing! hehe. :P

Jeff and I got some ice cream afterwards, well, I got a milkshake actually. :)
We went into Rock America and that place is just LOADED! It is just damn awesome and my eyes popped out of my head! No, not because of the crowds of gorgeous women around there, they were nice too, but it was because of the mass variety of awesome stuff there! My Uncle Jeff is a 48 year old man who has been living as a kid at heart for those years and doesn’t have his own family so I think he was considering me his son for a day or something so he wanted to buy me loads of things. Even after I said, “No, it’s enough!” he wouldn’t take that for an answer and practically made me get more things, lol. So we were there for an hour and I walked out of there with the following:

Another Jimi Hendrix T-shirt
Another Eric Clapton T-shirt
The Doors hoodie
Bob Marley T-shirt
Cream T-shirt
Jimi Hendrix door sized poster
Bob Dylan poster
John Lennon poster

Bless my Uncle’s heart, the man is just WAY too generous and he wouldn’t stop until I literally went at him to stop, he then agreed but then left me $100 for no reason, lol. He’s a very friendly guy, he’s the kind that can talk to random people and get them laughing in seconds. He owns his own fencing company and is on the phone often and it’s obvious how busy he is, but, he still tries to be friendly and loving. :)

After Rock America, we went to an  Italian restaurant, Mambo Italiano, where a friend of Jeff’s, a friendly woman with red hair named Carol. She has three kids of her own with her, 18 year old Sara, 16 year old Jaimie, and 14 year old Erik.
Although, before that, Jeff and I sat at the bar counter and I am still grinning like mad about this, the man at the counter asks what I want to drink. I ask him my options and he names all the Alcoholic related ones and more, he thought I was a fucking adult! HAHA! FAR OUT!!! The second time someone assumes me to be older than I am! Inside, I’m just dancing with happiness and joy, it’s so far out, man! LOL! :D

Well, I couldn’t get anything with my uncle there so I just got some water that was distilled with some lime stuff and it wasn’t too bad actually. The girls and Erik show up and we chow down and I make conversation with them all, the food was great too. Jaimie ordered the best pizza as well, she ordered cheese and bacon while my uncle ordered some dull one and at the end, everyone agreed that Jaime chose the best pizza. She put a couple slices on my plate, I just smiled gratefully and ate up! It was awesome! :)

Also, as I talked with Sara, who is in college, she asked how old I was, I replied, “Nearly 16″ and she said, “Cut it out! You look way older, you look like you could be one of my classmates!” (or something like that, lol)

At this point, I coulda performed a fucking Rick Roll, I’m just dancing, giggling, laughing, and going insanely happy inside! 3 times in one day! Wooooohoooooooo!!! :P
We went out for ice cream again and I got another milkshake. We then all went back to their place and played some Wii. (that shit is addicting, lol)
We played bowling Wii, it was Erik, myself, Jeff, and Carol, well, I wasn’t that good, lol. I either came in 3rd or last place but it was all fun! I threw a couple strikes and everyone was in the living room and all was good. I ended up noticing Jaimie on Facebook so I asked her if I could add her and it worked out. I’ll ended up adding Sara, Erik, and Carol afterwards as well. :)

Come to think of it, I need to contact Daniel about Adam and Jeff, so I can add them on Facebook. I gotta hold all my new friends close! :D
Facebook is just amazing for that stuff, I swear, if I meet someone, I gotta ask, “Gotta Facebook? :D”

So with all that fun shit, dad and I had to drive to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I had my camera ready but my heart sank when a saw a sign that said…..NO CAMERAS….

So I couldn’t take any pictures of the cool things inside the muesum. *sigh* Sorry friends. :(
I took 2 pictures outside of the place just to show I was there though. :P

Dad and I went around there and it wasn’t quite what we expected, it was like a mall with floors and such and yes, there was a lot of awesome stuff there but both of us expected more in a way. Lucky for me though, there’s two floors that they devote to two different bands each month, and, seeing how overall, I’ve been a lucky little shit, the two floors of the month are for my two favorite bands, The Doors and The Beatles. Haha! LUCKY!! WOOOHOOOO!!!! :D :D

How I could feel my soul being lit on fire! “C’mon baby, light my fire!” :D
There was so much cool shit. The Doors floor was at the top of the building and there was so much in there, 4 gigantic posters tower over the floor, each showing the 4 members of the band, plus guitars used by Robby Krieger, poetry on the paper Jim Morrison wrote on, his will, his school reports, and more! I was just 0___0 through so much of it!!! :D

Dad and I went to the gift shop and I got another poster I’ve been wanting! A black poster with the Fender logo on it! YES!! :D

We left after 2 hours of exploring the joint and headed up to New York, we made it to my grandparents house and we showed them a slideshow of all our pictures. My nearly 81 year old Grandpa (will be 81 on Aug 16th) and my almost 80 year old Grandma (will be 80 in Fall) were happy to see that. Without them, the trip wouldn’t of been possible. Although they dont have much money, they gave us a thousand dowwahs before we left and we used it for the trip. I thanked them loads and they were very happy. I even took the tallest point of their door! Which basically means, I’m the tallest of the family, hehe. (On that door, they measure family members over the years, etc etc.)

Dad stayed over there and I came to my Aunt Marsha’s house, which is walking distance from my Grandparent’s house. I got to see my 8-10 year old cousin Nathan and 3 year old cousin Riley for a bit, Nathan’s a good lad and Riley is an adorable and friendly little girl. I found out that my cousin Jessie, their mother, is pregnant again so it looks like the family is growing even more! :)
It was awesome seeing them again and over at this house, I have many friends who are not human…….cats and dogs! There’s George, this big fluffy grey cat, he was found in a dumpster by Jessie and was abused so Marsha took him in. George is very nice and friendly to me, he’s my favorite cat in the house! He’s practically a dog in a way! He’s actually right next to me, staring at the monitor! lol! :D

There’s also Tyler, an orange cat who is the eldest in the house. I used to play with him all the time as a kid and well, I still do! He’s gotten older but he’s a friendly and awesome cat too. :)
Then there’s big Cupid, a huge dog with a heart of gold, he’s just a giant puppy and really playful overall. He’s awesome. :D

Then we got Shanelle, who was a tiny little kitten when I saw her last X-mas, she’s now grown up but still a hell raiser I hear! :P
She had kept me awake the entire night when I had last stayed here around X-mas, she was biting my toes, making Tyler and George angry and fighting, and causing mayhem! I got no sleep that night, lol.

Then there are the two old dogs, Nalla and Shiloh, they’ve been around since I’ve been a kid and they’re friendly too. :)

Well, I just have to go check out the Woodstock museum and then I spend one more night at a hotel, then, we drive back home. Until then, I’m gonna go downstairs and hang with the animals. ^_^

Peace, love, and happiness! :D ^_____^ <333

WARNING: IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ ABOUT SOMETHING ABOUT A SILLY HIPPIE BEING HAPPY, PLEASE STOP READING, K? THKSBAIZ

Haha, well, once upon a time, we arrived at Seattle, okay Sammamish, Washington over at my cousin’s house. This was a family I used to visit often as a little kid until they moved away 4 years ago, there’s Daniel, 17, Carla, 20, and Miguel, 8. Their mom was there for a little bit but not for long, she is always flying in and out of her home (literally, like on planes and stuff, wowowowow) :0
It was awesome! I got to hang out with Daniel and we were always good buddies back in our youth and we were still cool, we could still do things we did when we were young kids, we played old school video games, played with toy army soldiers, played with toy guns, etc etc. Dad and I arrived at around 5 and the only people there were Carla and her boyfriend, I did what I did when I was a kid, I went into their basement to see what was in there. I always did that as a young lad back in their old house, still do at their new house, hehe. When I went down there, I lost my virginity…I lost my GUITAR HERO 3 AND WII VIRGINITY WOOOOHOOOOO!
So I picked up the Les Paul like controller and gave it a go, when I first played, I found myself going, “God dammit! WTF!” and being so confused by the controls, being the silly but clever boy I am, I managed to figure it out and before I knew what hit me, I was playing Sunshine Of Your Love, Slow Ride, Black Magic Woman, and more! :)

Daniel, Miguel, and Aunt Sherrie showed up around 10 at night and we all had some pizza and it was like an awesome family reunion and well, it rocked! :D (even if it was lame Dominoes pizza, lol. :D)
Daniel and I played some video games and talked about the past and stuff, eventually Miguel went to sleep, Aunt Sherrie went to sleep, and Carla was occupied with her laptop so Daniel and I went upstairs to watch a movie, Full Metal Jacket.
I liked the movie and it was fun watching it but at the beginning, that was kinda like an eye opener or something. There was this fat trainee soldier and a really fucked up and insulting Drill Sgt. and he was just so relentless in giving the guy shit and making him do so much work with only a little time for everyone to rest as a break, I watched and couldn’t help but think, “Holy fuck, I think my life can be tough sometimes, this dude’s is wayy more fucked than my life!” as well as “God damn…shit like this happens all the time, sure hope I aint never in a situation like that…” etc etc. In the end, after constant torment, the other trainees attacking him, as well as his friend, on the last night, the fat trainee is up past bedtime hours with a gun, sitting by the toilet section, looking completely insane and out of it. His only friend and the main character, Pvt. Joker, sees him and tells him he should get back to bed or the drill Sgt is gonna put them in a world of shit, whereupon the fat trainee, Pvt. Pyle, responds that he’s already in a world of shit and starts shouting and doing some gun positioning thingee drill and everyone wakes up, including the Drill Sgt. Sgt. starts shouting at Pyle like always and Pyle shoots him down dead. He then points the gun at Joker but pulls the gun away, aims at his own mouth, kaput. Dead. Life can get pretty fucked it seems…plus…shit like this happens often over at those war zone trainee places…oh yeah man….I am staying the fuck away… :0

That was just the beginning of the movie, it got into the whole war thing and Pvt. Joker was the protagonist of it all, he was pretty cool and the scenes were acted up well of the Vietnam war and at the end, there was a teenage girl with a scoped machine gun, who shoots down 3 soldiers, including Joker’s best friend from the Boot Camp days. Eventually, the soldiers found the sniper girl, shot her, and they stood over her as she lay dying. Joker felt bad for her because she was mortally wounded and repeating, “Shoot me” with an angry look to her face. The other soldiers wouldn’t go with Joker’s idea to bring her with them and the new leader of the group tells Joker to just shoot her if he doesn’t want her laying there like that. Joker is handed a pistol, he takes a couple seconds, but he shoots her dead and one of the other soldiers mutter that he’s a cold hearted killer. The movie ends pretty much right there with the group of soldiers marching as flames are engulfed all over the place and they are all singing a Mickey Mouse song of all things, lol. Also, that whole scene with that sniper girl got me thinking how fucked up life could be and wonder just how many times things like that have happened in real life. Sad stuff. :(
It was a great movie though, it was cool watching it with Daniel. He, himself, is going to a Military college, his dad did and I think he’s trying to make him happy by doing so himself. Sure hope things go well for that dude.

We went to bed after that and we were hanging out again and he has a friend, Adam, come over. Adam is this tall skinny dude and he’s pretty cool as well, the three of us watch another movie,  Enemy At The Gates, starring Jude Law.

That movie was awesome as well, the three of us were watching it but compared to Full Metal Jacket, I overall wasnt thinking too much about it. I just watched as Jude was this well known sniper for the Russian army and he’s under a lot of pressure to take down a famous German sniper, who was played by James Caan, an actor I happen to think rocks.  It was an epic battle between the two and I enjoyed watching it all, it was well put together and the acting was also good.

The three of us then proceeded to playing video games and being rowdy teenage boys and having fun for a couple more hours, then Daniel has another friend, Jeff, over. It’s late at night and we start up another movie, Rat Race.
That movie was just a silly race, literally. It was filled with multiple, loonie, silly, crazy personalities and people and the four of us were laughing pretty good with it all. After watching two killing movies, it was good to watch a mindless comedy again, haha. :D

I’d recommend all three of the movies to anyone, they were all good. :)

After that movie, the 4 of us were up late at night talking about random shit until it got to the point where Daniel’s friends started wrestling and acting loud and crazy, I was laughing a lot as well, it was such a crazy crowd and well, it was fun. 4 rowdy, silly, teenage dude’s at it’s finest. Eventually, Jeff had to leave because his parents wanted him home, so in turn, Adam had to leave and drive him home. It was just Daniel and I and he went to sleep. I stayed up a few more hours watching TV and playing with army soldiers, lol.

Dad and I then got up and left soon thereafter,  we then drove out of Seattle and had to drive 15 hours before we finally and just barely, got a hotel at 10:30 at night. That day wasn’t so much fun, our  Sirius radio stopped working so things got even more boring in that truck, I had to blank my mind out completely to make the time pass by but hey, time and things pass by, and that includes 15 hour drives. :)

The next day we did 14 hours of driving, that was a lot of fun!!!…….. :P

Then the day after that, we did 12 hours of driving and arrived in Chicago, where I am sitting now. Last night, I watched the NBA draft with my Grandma, who I call Satsie. Satsie is someone I’ve always respected and love, she is my mom’s mom and has something about her that I love. She’s really mellow, funny, and well, awesome. Sorry mother, your mom is so cool compared to you! :P
She ordered a pizza and dad and I ate it up gratefully, we then resumed our talk with Satsie and my Aunt Alissa. I had a great talk with Satsie and we enjoyed the NBA draft and she soon went to bed, then my dad did as well. I talked with Aunt Alissa about a bunch of stuff and we had a great hour long conversation and all was great. We never really talked much before but that conversation last night was truly something special and awesome.

She went to bed and I spent another hour watching TV, then going to sleep. I thought’d I’d just update my buddies about what’s been happening. Other than the driving, I’ve been having a lot of fun!! :D
Life is really beautiful, I have great friends and family who will help me through anything and make me smile and laugh, I’m so thankful for them all, life would be a lot less fun without them. So, a shout out of thanks to all my friends and family, with love, from the blue eyed, silly, dimpled hippie! :D

I’ve got a few more things to do and I’ll probably be back home on Monday. I gotta spend one more day with my Uncle Jeff and Satsie in Chicago, go see the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland tomorrow. (I’ll be sure to take some pictures! :D ), visit family in Syracuse, New York, check out the Woodstock museum, then return home.

Until then, I ask that all my friends and family take care, smile, and enjoy life. I sure am! :)

Peace and love!! ^_____^

11 Is A Cool Number

June 22, 2008

To start, sorry for not updating this lately, I’ve been quite busy doing a bunch of silly and fun stuff as well as just getting so exhausted that I hit the point of laziness.

Unfortunately, after about 5-6 days, I am no longer in California. I loved California, it felt like home to me. It was so diverse and had so many things in it. From entering Needles in 120 degree weather to driving through a bunch of slanted roads in mountains to get out of it to enter Oregon, I had tons of fun and met and made some more friends. :)
To be honest, I really feel like I need to visit this place soon again.

Well, I had a lot of great times at Tim’s house, he and his family were so nice, he, his wife, and his 20 year old daughter were just awesome and they let us stay there for 3 days. They welcomed us with open arms and provided dad and I some happy times. We watched a movie that was just beautifully put together and genius, Across The Universe. I dont know where to start with that, it was just amazing. It was a collection of Beatles songs put into a 1960’s plot with so many interesting characters from a boy, Jude, from the UK, coming to America and falling in love with a girl in the USA named Lucy, when he’s forced by the police to go back to the UK for not being a US citizen, he still finds his way back to Lucy. His best friend in America was a dude named Max, Lucy’s brother. Max had the misfortune of getting drafted into the Vietnam war, he did survive and return home but kinda shell-shocked and damaged mentally by the war. After Jude came back to the US for a 2nd time and seeing Max, Jude asked how he was and Max replied, “I’m doing alright below the neck!” LOL. We all laughed at that.
They ended up staying and traveling about a band where the lead singer was this woman, Sadie, who was so much like Janis Joplin and there was also a black guitarist named Jo-Jo, who was very much like Jimi Hendrix. There was also this gorgeous Japanese woman named Prudence, who was basically a weirdo lesbian. The characters were all cool and plenty of situations happened that included songs from the Beatles not being sung by the Beatles, but still being completely awesome! :D
That movie seriously must be one of my favorites ever, it’s right there with Platoon, Life Is Beautiful, Fight Club, Saving Private Ryan, Audition, and a few others. There is another one similar to it but instead of Beatles songs, it’s songs by Bob Dylan! Called “I’m Not There”, I’m so gonna check that out! :D
Unfortunately, we never did take photos with them at all. :(
Tim said to me that I’d be welcomed back at any time. :)

Dad and I explored Cal often, just him showing me a bunch of old places he used to hang out at and such. A record shop he went to often even 40 years ago, had closed down really recently so he was bummed about that. Lucky for us, though, dad (by accident) found the new location of the place and the owner that he knew who had the record place open for 40 plus years. Dad thanked him for all the times for the music and such and got a T-Shirt off the man’s shop brand. Needless to say, the dude had a ton of posters, collectibles, and so much more of old good shit from music, TV, and other cool stuff from the times ago. There was even a Gibson SG in a protected case in there, okay, so what? Well, that SG was used by the late John Cipollina, who was the lead guitarist for the psychedelic rock band, The Quicksilver Messenger Service. He’s really famous and sounds fucking awesome, so it was quite an honor to see his guitar from that close.

We spent our last 2 night’s a friend of my dad’s, Barry. Barry is this big fun-loving, black, hippie. He’s awesome, dude is just hilarious and kind as can be. His wife, Sidney, is also a sweet-hearted and kind hippie. They welcomed us with open arms and I had a lot of fun there, they also had a dog named Shadow, who was a huge but friendly dog. They had a guy named Steven over from Hawaii who was also a friendly guy. Like Tim, Barry said I was welcome anytime and that if I ever came back, that’d he take care of me and show me the ropes of California, he even said my personality and how I acted was Californian and that I belonged there and that it was obvious I belonged in California. We got some photos with them. :)

Before staying for our 2nd night at Barry’s, we spent 3 hours at another close friend of my dad’s through his California days back like 20 something years ago, Skip’s. Skip is a rich dude, multi-millionaire and his property shows it. It’s like two different houses and bamboo flooring, along with a beautiful scenic area that had a swimming pool and a hot tub. His wife is from Thailand and really seems like an interesting woman. When I first arrived, she was sitting in a chair by the pool as her two daughters, Asia, 10, and Aldora, 8, were in the pool. Well, I talked with Skip’s wife(dad and I never found out her name sadly) for about 10 minutes, I asked her what was Thailand like and how she’s liking California and such. She went away from the pool and soon I was just sitting by the pool while Asia and Adora swam. After a few minutes, I noticed the two of them talking and Adora was shouting and screeching in a funny voice, “Ask him!” I looked at them both and Adora laughed and smiled all silly while Asia kinda shook her head in a “*sigh*, my sister is so dumb..” way, lol. Well, what they wanted me to do was swing a tether ball around so they could both try to catch it and win a game. Well, I agreed to play it and swung the ball around the side of the pool as the two tried catching it, Adora ended up winning 10-6. Adora then kept asking me to enter the pool and said, “Get in the pool, it’s gonna be radical, dude!” Haha, well, I gave in and entered the pool. Before I did that, though, I had to give up all of my “money.” They handed me these strips of skinny green spuds and I had to rip them off and put them into an orange bucket in order for that money to help the hot tub foundation according to those two, lol. Well, basically for the next 3 hours, I’m acting as I guess a big brother role and play whatever little game the two wanted me to do. Volleyball, monkey in the middle, collecting the “money”, you name a game, I likely played it. I’ll admit it, I had fun though, it was nice to see the two little kids having so much fun, I had them laughing pretty good and well, making people smile and laugh is always fun. :)
Afterwards, their parents were both all over me, thanking me and telling me how their daughters loved me and how nice, friendly, funny, and fun I was. They showed me around some more places of their beautiful area. Skip’s wife is a Buddhist and she and Skip gave dad and I pennants, the one I got was a picture of her master and dad got one of some other Buddha guy, I felt quite honored by the fact she gave me something so dear of her. Their gifts are supposed to help bring well-being, happiness, good fortune, and safety so that’s all fine and dandy, then, ehh? :) They showed us the way out and Asia and Aldora came out again and hugged dad and I, both of them telling me to come back soon, thanking me for playing their games the past couple hours, take care, and that they’d miss me. The two of them really were nice girls, they’ve already seen a lot of the world according to what dad told me, so that’s pretty interesting, I hope their futures turn out well. Like Tim and Barry, Skip and his wife said I was welcome back at any time. :) I also thought, due to all of that time with the kids, that someday, I really hope to have my own kids. Maybe at my age, it’s a silly thought, but that’s what I think. ^_^
Here’s some pics from that 3 hour visit.

California was just amazing, I met so many amazing people and it truly felt like home. Those few days there were some really fun and unforgettable days. :)
The drive out of it was brutal as hell, to be honest. We were driving through this route was was constant slants over mountains and such from like 9 in the morning to 7 at night, I took 3 headache pills, more than I’ve ever taken in one day in my entire life. That drive was just brutal and dad said we must of done 2500 slants and he said he wasn’t exaggerating. We were both dizzy and felt sick. In the first 3-4 hours of driving, we pulled over and I nearly threw up. I never did throw up and soon, I was feeling alright and we found a Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant. Dad went in Starbucks, I went in the Mexican restaurant. Dad gave me $7, which wasn’t enough to buy anything. Lucky me, the Mexican lady at the counter, was extremely nice (and cute :P) and let me get by  with an $8 burrito meal with beans, cheese, and chips. It tasted great and I thanked her for it, she just smiled and acted friendly and said it wasn’t a problem and all and that it’s good to do kind things for people , I, eating the delicious food, smiled and agreed wholeheartedly. We made it through the drive and got to a Motel 6 and are still doing alright, here I am, in Oregon. I am going to visit family, tomorrow, my cousins, Daniel, 17, and Carla, 21?, and my Aunt. They used to live nearby when I was a kid and I grew up visiting them but they moved away to Seattle a few years ago and we hadn’t seen them much, since. I’m looking forward to seeing them again. :D
I gotta do another I think 9 hours of driving tomorrow but it shouldn’t be as slanted and bad as today, so that’s good. :)
I’ve had a lot of fun, I’ll never forget these experiences, it’s truly been amazing.
Thank you to Shar and Shley for being my audience in all of this, your comments on all of this are truly appreciated! Thanks both of ya! :D ^_^ <333

Over and out…..goodnight! ^_^

Every Little Thing Gonna Be Alright!

June 17, 2008

Today was another A-OK day. We drove through California and saw a bunch of stuff, it was about 14 hours worth of driving but it was all fine, I dont feel affected by it much at all, I think I’m really getting used to all this driving. I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t miss people, places, and things but I really do feel pretty damn good overall. I’m staying at the house of a friend of my dad’s named Tim, who he hadn’t seen in 15 years. He’s got a really beautiful house with awesome things and a beautiful setting outside, it’s lovely here, just flat out awesome. It’s great to be in a real house with space and not some closed in hotel room, it makes everything nicer, really. :)

Tim’s a friendly guy and his wife is as well, they got an awesome Fender bass guitar around that is worth a ton, I got to hold that sucker and I swear, man, it feels so odd to me, especially since I’ve been playing guitar about 7 months and about nothing but that. (With the occasional harmonica or electric keyboard)
Also, I’m on a computer with an actual mouse and keyboard, holy shit, feels so much better! haha! :D

San Fran was awesome, I’ve always wanted to go there and I enjoyed it. It had a fog over it, it was cool, it was loaded with Asian women, the building’s were really unique, the setting just rocked, I swear man, California just has this awesome carefree feeling to it, I absolutely love California, it’s as if to me, a part of my soul is here, like, I belong here. Idk, this place is just lovely, California is just awesome, I really love California. :)

It’s so strange, y’know? I really do miss home but another part of me does not wanna leave California. I’m not sure how exactly to explain this, California, it really feels like something special to me, I really dont know how to explain it, it just does. The beach’s are gorgeous, their are wide varieties of people, so many unique places, just the atmosphere is awesome, I completely love it.

Well, tomorrow we’re suppose to go to Skip’s place, another friend of dad’s. Skip is married and has two daughters, both whom are younger than I am. (I’m not sure how much younger)
Skip’s apparent plan is for dad and I to go out for dinner with his wife and kids. Okay, boomshakalaka, I mentioned the wife and kids more than once, something’s up, right? Heh, fine, one second… -_-
….his wife is Thai and according to Eddie and dad, gorgeous. Okay, there, I admitted it. I find oriental women the most beautiful women on the world and being in Virginia, especially a small hick town, I don’t see very many of them in person, so, uhmm, you could say I’m looking forward to meeting her and her daughters?? I think the daughters go in the 9-12 range, I’m sure they’re probably adorable little kids who’ll become beautiful young ladies in no time. I’m right, though! I am in no way intending on doing anything but being a silly friendly hippie boy to them like I am to anyone who is friendly. I’ll probably just find them prettier than most I talk to. ^_^

So I’ve got some things to look forward to, I’ve gotta wide smile following my face around and I’m just trying to enjoy all of this while I can, after all, it won’t last long, it’s a gift, this trip. It’s almost like a life, you have to cherish every moment, smile as often as possible, look to have as much fun as possible, and just enjoy every moment. No time to waste being sad, turn that frown upside down, look in the mirror, flip your hair like Chris Crocker and smile, take plenty of photos to look back on and say, “Wow, that was a lot of fun,” or, “lol, i looked so silly in that pic! :D” etc etc. I’m just enjoying this all, doing whatever I can to take this in like it’s a nice shot of liquor or something…..okay, not the best analogy but you get what I mean, right?! :D

In The Sunshiiiinneee Of Yourrrr Looovvvvveeeeeeee :D

The Roadtrippin’ continued on like it has been from the get go. Pops and I drove about 10 hours but it went by so quickly today for some reason, well, to me anyways. We drove out of Utah, which was kinda boring, into Arizona, which had the Grand Canyon, which was just awesome, then arriving in Needles, California, where it was 120 degrees outside. We had to stop at a hotel because we couldn’t risk the heat hurting our Purple Honey. Also, as we drove around Arizona early, we picked up a random person, this Mexican cowboy looking dude, he had a black cowboy hat on and everything, we drove for like 30 miles with him riding in the bed of our truck, it was so insane but awesome. That man was truly a BAMF, we found him in the middle of nowhere! :D

So with 10 hours of driving and 120 degrees of heat, you would think a person’d be tired, well, I felt fine. The entire thing felt like a breeze, I basically shut my brain down and went with the flow and motions, I’ve had a lot of things on my mind lately but I didn’t want to think at all or much, so, yep, shut my brain down. I can’t say I regret doing that at all, it made the drive much easier and quicker for me.

Again, Grand Canyon was just awesome. We got there at 11 in the morning so it wasn’t really hot or crowded, oh, there were people there alright but it wasn’t really crowded. Camera’s were going off everywhere and there was a wide variety of people, which I love, white people, black people, Asian’s, muslim’s, etc etc. The place just flat out rocked, it’s a place everyone should see before they die, I’m really happy I’ve seen it. :)

Well, when we got to the hotel, I pulled out one of the Acoustc guitars, Jimmy, and practiced some more on him and managed to learn another song. I’m not very good at playing it yet but I sorta did play it so wooooohoooo! :D The song was one of my favorites by a band I love, it is Sunshine Of Your Love by Cream. :)

Now I really wanna get my hands on Axel….

Haha, alrighty, I’ll be exploring California tomorrow, I’m still surprised about how far away I am from home. :)

Take care. :D

Room 307

I wont lie…..I am quite exhausted.

We drove through Colorado which was just beautiful. It was full of mountains all over the place and just looked lovely. There was freaking snow on them too, yes, snow in the middle of June. It was gorgeous there and it lasted for around 400 miles, I took pictures and watched movies on my laptop, it was nice there.

We then entered Utah which wasn’t as fun, it was huge and didn’t have much in it. Heat followed us around and we nearly ran out of gas, the gage was literally right at empty until we FINALLY hit a gas station, I swear, we wouldn’t have lasted another 5 miles. I was laughing my head off for a few minutes, we got so lucky. :)

The hotels were tough to find and we finally found them, but, since there were so few, they cost so damn much. $123 dollars but it’s a decent room and has Wi-Fi, so that’s good, shame it costed so much, though…

I really miss home, people, and so so, but, this experience is really something I needed to do, it’s been exhausting, yeah, but I have had a lot of fun as well. I don’t regret any of it, even if I’m feeling kinda sick and am God knows how far away from home but ehh, I’ll pull through. I’ll be going to the Grand Canyon tomorrow, that’s quite a site I hear. :D

This is something I’ll share with the people I know, trust, and love for the rest of my days. :)

Peace and love. :)

Kansas….. #@$@$#%#%%#&%^^$#@# :(

June 14, 2008

That state was so huge, flat, boring, and lame. It had nothing in it and it made me feel like I was going to go insane, it was just complete utter shit, 423 miles of boring utter shit. I hope I never go there, again. :(

THANK GOD I’M FREE FROM THERE!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :D

Driving through Denver tomorrow, plenty of mountains there I hear, that should be more entertaining. I’m looking forward to it. :)

THE CONCERT FUCKING ROCKED!

Really, Really. It flat out rocked, hell, the entire day did to tell ya the truth. Daddy and I started out with breakfast at some Americana type restaurant and I ate an egg sandwich and nice bread too, it was an awesome meal and the waitress was really friendly and funny. :)

We did some more driving and eventually met up with Eddie Ryan at this huge ass motel/mall place and that was awesome. Had a fancy room and got to explore the mall but we could only have internet outside of our room and not in it, the only downside of the day.

The way we got to the concert itself was just fucking awesome. Eddie got us in a van with Patrick Simmons, his wife, his 17 year old son and his friend. It was so awesome, Pat sat right behind me and we all talked normally about stuff as if we were all friends. :)

We soon got backstage and got our passes, which was a necklace thing that had a Red Stratocaster on it, far out! :D

About 5 minutes before the show started, I got a picture with guitarist, John McFee. He’s a nice dude. :D

The show started off with the Doobie’s playing for an hour and right at their last song, it stormed really badly with heavy rain and lightning, dad and I got backstage soaked, hahaha! :D
I took many pics and really enjoyed the music though, all from the third row and from touring around the stage and the area where they all hung out, fucking awesome, I am lucky as hell… :)
I took a pic with Patrick Simmons and was soaked, my dad was in the pic as well and he was too. :P

It continued storming like crazy but Chicago went out and performed for an hour, the fans were wearing rain jackets and holding umbrellas, but still enjoying the show! Dad and I went on the stage, behind the amps and watched. I watched it right with the other Doobie Brothers and even got 5 guitar picks by John McFee. :)

I took some pics from there and had fun, it was all so awesome, everything was. :D

At the very end, Chicago and The Doobie Brothers performed more songs together and well, yeah, more pics taken! It was all just so awesome and I felt so lucky and had a ton of fun. We ended up driving back to the hotel with the big black bassist known as Skylark, who is a friendly dude. Once we arrived there, we went with Eddie on the tour bus, which was just this fancy ass bus with beds, multiple TV’s, videogames, just flat out loaded with a bunch of fancy shit, I wanted to take pics but the batteries in the camera died. :(

The concert and the entire day was just flat out fucking fun, I’ll remember this day for many days, months, and years to come, it was all just too fucking awesome and I’m glad I took plenty of pictures. :)

O Hello

June 12, 2008

Well, we did some more driving, not as much driving as I had thought we would do. We drove through Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois, now in Indiana. We aren’t too far off from Kansas City, where the Doobie Brothers concert will be and also where tornadoes are going through. We drove around 8-9 hours today but again, it all went by quick, Serius radio is a fucking lifesaver I swear. There is so much to listen to and for me, it’s so easy to zone out and listen to it as we get closer and closer to where we go and as the miles increase on “Honey”, our Toyota truck.

We found a hotel after around 8 hours of driving (Which had felt like 4 hours to me, lol, it was more according to dad though) although we couldnt get the internet working so we left and drove about another 60 miles to a WAAAYYYY better hotel, The Travel Lodge. There was a hot tub, a pool, the rooms were nice, it was at a rather secluded area, and above else, besides one other man, my dad and I were the only ones there, how awesome is that? We’re pretty close by to Kansas City as well so we wont need to drive very much at all tomorrow, probably only about 75 miles or probably less than that, actually. :D

The Doobie Brothers, heck yes, baby! Another concert, another meet up with the road manager of the band, Eddie Ryan, a longtime friend of my dad. Thanks to Eddie, we can always go backstage for free, meet and talk to the bandmembers, and always have tons of fun. It’s all completely awesome and they make kickass music and will probably even make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame someday. Patrick Simmons, John McFee, Tom Johnston, Skylark, and more! They make some good music and it’ll probably be a lot of fun I would imagine. :)

So tomorrow is set out to be a mellowed day with little driving and lots of great music, that sounds pretty awesome to me! :D

I hope I can update you guys, soon. Take care! ^__^
