The Streets Are Fields That Never Die

August 1, 2008

Howdy dooly do amigos!

Lately my life’s been sort of relaxed, surrounding few things, but things I enjoy. These things include drawing, writing, playing music, and the most exciting one of all, breathing. :D

I drew a Gibson Les Paul, I wrote a few pages for my little writers challenge thingy, I played and practiced some more in learning Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix, I also ended up breathing so many times today that I ended up losing count of how many times I breathed within a few minutes after waking up. :(

My Current Addiction Song

Credit goes to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for helping me discover this song, so thank you Mr. Vice City! ^____^

The 16th birthday is like less than 2 weeks away so gotta say, that is quite crazy, heh? Whoa! :D (i’m fucking melting!)

I think the reason (other than seeing friends and  family) I want the birthday to arrive more than anything  is to get a new computer, lol. Seriously, I just am beaten down so many times by my MSN and it’s leaving behind ever abusive and heart aching results. In other words, as of now, this is what MSN does to me Take a look at these few and horrifying pictures of proof of abuse le MSN does to the hippie known as Hux.

Oh, and I do not have tits on the first picture. Shut up. :(

…..It even comes in film! :OTWICE!

But……by God’s name do I let an internet’s toy (yeah! i called you a toy MSN! whaddya gonna do huh?! HUH?!! >:O) bring me down! BRING IT MSN!

Hopefully after my Birthday comes and goes, the results will go in my favor in something sort of like this! :DDDD

:D !!!!!

Peppermint, Miniskirts, Chocolate Candy

July 31, 2008

Okeee well I’ve been listening to my music lots this Summer! Songs that I happily sing along with that always make me smile! Allow me to show! :)

I saw her again last night,
And you know that I shouldn’t
Just string her along; it’s just not right
If I couldn抰 I wouldn’t.
But what can I do; I’m lonely too.
And it makes me feel so good to know
She’ll never leave me.

I’m in way over my head;
Now she thinks that I love her (yeah, yeah)
Because that’s what I said
Though I never think of her.
(No, no, never think of her)

But what can I do? I’m lonely too.
And it makes me feel so good to know
(And it makes me feel so good to know…)
She’ll never leave me.

Every time I see that girl,
You know I wanna lay down and die.
But I really need that girl
Though I’m living a lie;
(Though I抦 living a lie…)
It makes me wanna cry

I saw her again last night,
And you know that I shouldn’t
Just string her along; it’s just not right.
If I couldn’t then I wouldn’t,
But what can I do, I’m lonely too.
And it makes me feel so good to know
She’ll never leave me.
(to know…know)

But what can I do? I’m lonely too.
Yeah, and it makes me feel so good to know
She’ll never leave me.

Every time I see that girl,
You know I wanna lay down and die.
But I really need that girl
Though I’m living a lie
(Though I抦 living a lie…)
It makes me wanna cry.

I saw her…
I saw her again last night.
And you know that I shouldn’t (no, no)
Just string her along; it’s just not right.
If I couldn’t, I wouldn’t;
I’m in way over my head (you say…)
Now she thinks that I love her (yeah, yeah)
Because that’s what I said…

Okay, this may be my favorite from The Mamas & Papas and I’ve really been digging them lately! It just sounds awesome and I really love the video too! And there’s parts in the video of expressions of all the members that I just love! Michelle was beautiful as could be dancing around with those clothes and just looking adorable. John with the spray at 1:29 is a funny look. And Cass just looks so damn cute at 1:44! The expression on her face just screamed it! So did 2:15! :D
Speaking of 2:15, Denny smoking the cig and the look on his face after it was funny too! I just love the song and video lots, I’m strumming away on Ovi the Ovation acoustic and singing along with it. I swear, these guys sorta define, peace, love, and happiness in a way if you ask me! Thanks for the music, you four! R.I.P. John, Denny, and Cass.

Listen Baby…

Ain’t no mountain high
Ain’t no valley low
Ain’t no river wide enough baby

If you need me call me
no matter where you are
no matter how far (don’t worry baby)
just call my name
I’ll be there in a hurry
you don’t have to worry

chorus:
‘Cause baby there
Ain’t no mountain high enough
Ain’t no valley low enough
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe

Remember the day
I set you free
I told you you could always count on me darling
From that day on
I made a vow
I’ll be there when you want me
some way somehow

Chorus

No wind,
No rain

Or winter’s cold
Can’t stop me baby
’cause you are my beau
(if you’re ever in trouble
I’ll be there on the double
just send for me)
ooo baby

My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart

If you ever need a helping hand
I’ll be there on the double
just as fast as I can

Don’t you know that there aint no
mountain high enough,
ain’t no valley low enough,
aint no river wide enough to keep
me from getting to you babe

Don’t you know that there aint no
mountain high enough,
ain’t no valley low enough
aint no river wide enough to keep
me from getting to you babe

This song is just fantastic! Such a classic! It just escalates, preaches, and screams LOVE! :D
They both looked and sounded fantastic!! And Tammi, she was so young during that video! Like 21/22!! Talk about true talent!! She really was quite beautiful too! Such a damn shame she had to die so young! 24 years old of a brain tumor and she was so young, talented, and beautiful! It’s not fair! She should have had her opportunity to discover true love. :(
Marvin too! He died a little bit older but he died pretty young too. With his own fucking dad killing him! Talk about some fucked up shit! *sigh* Why must so many of the great die young with so much of their lives unfulfilled? :(
Well, at least they’re both remembered and loved by many, they both live on in that sense. Thanks Marvin and Tammi for the awesome music. R.I.P. :)

Hope you enjoyed the music! Peace, love, and happiness! ^_____^

tralalalalala :)

July 30, 2008

Wow, I am sorry to say I’ve sorta neglected this blog lately. Sorry guys, I sort of got on a bloggers block and just didn’t write. Well, that ends now! :D

So not too long ago, dad and I drove to the same theater/bar we saw Leon Russell perform at. That location is one I really love! It’s just completely awesome in so many ways! Just the drive up there, getting meatball subway sandwiches, talking to dad on the drive, listening to Sirius radio, just smiling, laughing, and loving each moment of all! It just feels so wonderful and fun! My dad is easily one of my heroes! I couldn’t ask for a better dad, he’s helped make this Summer completely fucking awesome! ^__^

Sadly, before we had drove for the Dave Mason concert (which was completely awesome!!!) my parents were on bad terms. Dad was really depressed, mom too, shit sorta was bad for about 2 days, with one of them being the concert day. Mum’s friend, Michael, had done something stupid. Mom and I visited him because she wanted to give him food and dad doesn’t like Michael because he’s kinda fucked up and is also in love with my mother. (He admitted that to her and also that he wanted to sleep with her…….)

So Michael and some black guy there start throwing a football to each other across the road. They throw it at me and I’m just standing at the porch, trying not to even play at all, lol. It was kinda annoying but yeah, I threw it back at them because, what else could I do? Well, shit sorta happens from there. Black guy leaves, mom is talking to Michael from the balcony porch and I’m not even sure what happened but Michael all the sudden pulls his shorts down and shows his ass to my mother. Right on the fucking street.

Well, someone called because of that and the damned cops came. They talked with Michael and mom, asked if he had revealed his ass, he denied it and my mom was like, “Oh, no, none of us saw it, nothing happened at all.” ….Which was just STUPID of her to say. Yeah, someone will randomly call a cop and say that, right? Ughh, mum… Anyways, the cops also asked me questions about throwing the football across the street because they were mad about that too. They ended up getting my name and my DOB and I heard my name go through their pocket radios, I’ll tell you what, not a good feeling hearing your name going through one of those. Yikes. :/

So tralalalalala, mom kept on yelling at me not to tell dad about it but I knew that wasn’t right. She must of told me like 20 times in 10 minutes and I finally just told her to back off and told dad. He deserved to know, he’s done so much for me this Summer and my entire life. Well, he flipped out and my parents were fighting like crazy. Mom was drunk, dad was mad because some scumbag who wants to fuck his wife is getting her and me involved with the police, etc. He said she’d flip at him if he had a “female friend” like how mom considered Michael her “male friend.” Yeesh, buncha crap happened there and it got to the point where I was in the midst of it all and seperated them, I sat with dad in the kitchen with the dogs. He remarked on the way there, “Well, at least the dogs won’t cause a ton of fucking bullshit.”

Heh…the dogs. They seemed so puzzled by it all but were still so cute. It was kinda nice just sitting with dad, with those two dogs. Even in the middle of an insane fight happening that night, that was a good feeling in a way.

Eventually, that fight ended but dad was so depressed the next day. (and he rarely ever shows his depression) and he’s telling me how he’s so sick of her alcoholism, attitude, and other crap and how he wondered how long he could take it. He wouldn’t even touch his guitars, he said he was too depressed for any of that. Well, those times concerned me more than any because overall, my dad is solid. He about never showcases emotions like that for me because he knows deep down, it’s not the right thing to do and it’ll only make the ones he loves feel bad. I can understand why he felt that way, though, lots of shit happens at times between her and mom, hell, it’s understandable.

Through all of that, it really did not seem like we were going to the concert at all. But, despite dad being in a completely bummed out mood, dad asked me if I still wanted to go, about 2 hours before the concert was set to start. He asked me about it but he was clearly still angered and depressed but I was hoping maybe I could cheer him up during the concert so I agreed to going to it with him. On the way out, he says going to the concert would be a good way to get away from mom. (He intentionally let her hear it as well)

Well, for the first 15 minutes, dad was still sorta bummed and all. We were playing our Sirius though and some good tunes came on and we got into some good conversation. I tried my best to be bright, cheery, and nice. I think it worked because after not long, I got him in a better mood. Dad was back to being dad, the dad I admire, respect, and love. We got some subway sandwiches on the drive there, I got a meatball sub and we chowed down while listening to some awesome tunes on Sirius. After some more driving, we arrive at the concert area! :D

Dad was in good spirits so in turn, I’m very happy with that because he was no longer in his depression mode so I felt good with myself for helping him out, he had done so much for me, it was the least I could do I thought. :)

Well, to start with the performance. Dave Mason and his crew were just so fucking awesome, Dave played guitar and sang, he had a young guitarist who played a Red Strat and an Ovation acoustic who also sang, a bassist, a keyboardist, and a drummer. They all sounded so damn awesome and dad and I had lots of fun listening to them. The music was very psychedelic like and I absolutely love psychedelic music!! :D

So yes, that concert completely rocked and I got dad in a cheery mood so I was feeling great. Next day, everything’s normal and better at home. He and mom get back in talking terms and not at each other like angry wolves. I felt great for just helping out like that, maybe that’s silly but idk, lol. :)

I’ve been leading a rather relaxed life lately, due to school being out this Summer. Lots of my time is spent practicing music or writing. I am in a Battle Royale writing roleplay challenge and working more and more on guitar and even keyboard. I was practicing the keyboard and set the sound to make it sound like a marimba. Those just sound so damn beautiful and awesome, they remind me of the sea. :)

School’s starting in about 3 weeks, in all honesty, I’m sort of dreading it and looking forward to it. It’s tough to explain, I’ll go into more detail about it some other time I suppose. :)

Also, I must say, I had a lot of fun reading my blog posts from the past because they were hilarious, fun, and reminded me of some awesome things and made me very happy for marking it all down and writing it. So, thanks Shley for getting me on board the WordPress crew. You rock! ^__^

Hah…one day many days from now, I’ll be looking at this post again. For that moment, I’d like to reserve a “Hi Huxley! LOL this was a while back ago!! :P”

Okay, it’s like 4:00 and I can feel myself falling asleep and have been that way for about 30 minutes, lol. I’ll write some more soon and update more. :D

Peace, love, and happiness! tralalalalalala! :D <333

/quick edit

Thank you also to The Journeymen! For I listened to this song the entire time writing this post, along with my singing with it, haha. Thanks John Phillips (R.I.P), Scott McKenzie, and Dick Weissman for the awesome music, it’s appreciated fellas! ^__^

I’m The Hippie Boi In The ORANGE Bandanna! :)

July 22, 2008

O hey! Today’s been a mighty great day! :D

Well, today’s been one of those fun days that was really quick. Not sure why, but I ended up waking up after sleeping like 12 hours, which is very rare for me. Anyways, spent a little time on MSN and then some more with Axel, the sexy Strat. I looked up ol Hey Joe by Sir Jimi Hendrix and then the way to play it, well, I got the recently 60 year ol Daddy head to help me out. He started playing Hey Joe and wrote down on paper how to play it, where to place my fingers, etc etc. So I’m slowly learning how to play Hey Joe by Jimi! :D

While doing that, I get an ever so pleasant surprise! :D

A bunch of kickass things by my buddies halfway across the world! Woooooohooooooo! So I’ve gotta give thanks to Sharlene and Ashley for the awesome stuff! It’s really nice of you two!! ^____^
I really love it lots! From the bandannas (I am seriously in love with the orange one!), the buttons, the artwork inside the card, the box, the guitar, the cards, everything in it made me smile happily! Makes me think how lucky I am to know such kickass peoples! :D

So thank you both for the awesome Birthday presents!! Sweet 16 is sweet indeeedyy! :)

As I wear this orange bandanna, I shall also mention some more musicians I have recently discovered! :)

Jim Croce – I first heard Jim on the roadtrip thanks to the Godly Sirius radio in Purple Honey. Now that I’m settled at home for a while longer, I get lots of time to listen to Croce play! He was one of the first to play Ovation acoustics, so just finding that out really appealed to me since I own an Ovation. Well, Jim’s got this classy “telling a story” like voice to me and I just love how he plays and sings all at once. Unfortunately, Jim was another one who died young. He died aged 30 alongside his guitar partner, who was 24, in a plane crash. What a damn shame! He was so damn good and at the peak of his career. Croce kicks ass! Check em out plz! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru5exYqe5_M

Kate Nash – Thanks goes out to Ashley for mentioning her to me! So after being told about Miss Nash, I give her a listen and am completely into the voice and the acousticy sound. Her accent is awesome! I knew she had to be part Irish the moment I heard that voice and I soon found out she is indeed! She’s young, too, only 21! Nice to see someone that young so talented! I’ll have my eyes out for her as her music career progresses. I hope she’s blessed and hopefully delivers great music for many many more years! Rock on, Kate! :D

Lovin Spoonful – Learned thanks to Sirius again! They so rock. Anyways, Lovin Spoonful was a band in those ol days and well, they play mellow, peaceful, calm music and that’s nice IMO. John Sebastion is the vocalist and I like him, he’s pretty damn good. I would love to sing like that, lol. The guitarist is awesome too, Zal Yanovsky, the look on his face at 1:17 in the video bellow is just hilarious! Sadly he died 2002. :( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDDB0cRZ7NU

Again, thank you so much Sharlene and Ashley! The gifts are very much appreciated and shall always be treasured by me! You two rock!! ^_____________^

Music Game

July 6, 2008

I’m just playing a little music game where I show some of my favorite bands/artists and showcase my favorite song from them, if you want, make a response showing your favorite bands/artists and your favorite songs from them. ^_^

The Doors – Riders On The Storm. It took loads of thought, it took me a while to come down to this conclusion, this is my favorite band, they’ve made many many songs I love, hell, I love all of their songs, it was between Riders On The Storm or Soft Parade but in the end, I decided to go with Riders On The Storm. It’s just so awesome, everything in it is, it’s got such a great beat and a mellowed out thing with it, plus, the rain effects on it are just fucking outstanding. It’s a great song, fuck Snoop Dogg for fucking it up in his version, the only way to go with this song is from The Doors. :D

Jimi Hendrix – Machine Gun. This was an easy decision for me, actually. This is my favorite song from Jimi without a doubt and I love all of his too, but this just may be my favorite song ever. It’s beyond words for me, it’s haunting, it speaks to me, it’s just…..fucking outstanding!

The Beatles – Across The Universe. I considered others such as If I Fell, I’m Happy Just To Dance With You, and All You Need Is Love, but I went with Across The Universe in the end. Obviously, The Beatles are just loaded with songs and were masterful musicians, well, Ringo wasn’t, but the other three definitely were.

Bob Dylan – Like A Rolling Stone. It wasn’t too hard for me to choose this one, I think most would agree, this is Dylan’s best song, the lyrics are just outstanding and back in his youthful days, he could really deliver it and it could sound just incredible and beyond words to describe it.

Eric Clapton – Bell Bottom Blues. This was another easy choice for me. I really love this song for some reason, it’s just filled with soul and so real, I hate how underrated it is compared to Layla, Layla is fine and all but this one is hands down much better IMO. This just is amazing, I always sing along with it and hate that it’s really difficult to sing. It’s easily my favorite from EC.

Muse – Hysteria. Again, hands down my favorite from Muse. I completely love this song and well, I love to headbang to it and even sing with it, it’s just awesome! The music, the video, it just gets me off my feet and I just get so into it! Good to see at least some bands like Muse are around. (Thanks Shley for showing em to me)

Bob Marley – Three Little Birds. Easy again, “Cause every little thing’s gonna be alright!” “No worries! Not a thing!” C’mon! Easy! How can that not be my favorite, it’s so peaceful, bright, and full of right!

The Band – Up On Cripple Creek. Again! Easy! I love The Band and anything by them is good but this is just hilarious and sounds great! “A drunkards dream if I ever did see one!”

Rolling Stones – Under My Thumb. *sigh* This was also an easy choice! I think this might become a pattern, hehe. It’s just awesome, Brian Jones playing the marimba is just fucking awesome and it brings a really unique sound to it, and how can you not look at his hair getting up in his eyes, which are very likely stoned and just laugh a little? Lol, Brian Jones was easily my favorite Stone. And Mick just flat out OWNS the crowd of screeching teenage girls and the way he confidently sings that song is just so awesome, I love many songs by the Stones but when I think of what song would be my favorite from them, I immediately think of this song.

Cream – Sunshine Of Your Love. Yes….easy choice. It just sounds awesome, easy to play, and well, it’s timeless awesomeness forever! :D

Chicago – Saturday In The Park. EASILY my favorite by Chicago. First time I heard this, I was hooked. I’m not a really big fan of Chicago but this song by them just is great!! I just really love it, it’s got this nice Americana feeling and an awesome vibe to it.

The Ventures – Wipe Out. Easy again, it just sounds awesome! Great beat to it and holy shit, the drummer is just fucking FAST!! It’s just awesome, man, just flat out fucking awesome.

Bruce Springsteen/E Street Band – Born To Run. Easy again. “Tramps like us! Baby we were born to run!” C’mon! That’s awesome! This song is rebellious, adventurous, and fun!

The Happenings – See You In September.
EASY! Again…hehe. I love The Happenings and every song they have but this one’s my favorite from them. It just sounds lovely and the video of it is just priceless.

Stevie Ray Vaughan – Cold Shot. Fuck me! Easy again, and I love anything and everything by SRV but Cold Shot is just something else! The lyrics are real, he sings and plays it well….and the video is fucking hilarious!! If you ain’t seen it, for fuck’s sake, here!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kq9pn4HtDA :D

Electric Light Orchestra – Telephone Line. God dammit! Easy again! What can I say? This is just great music. It sounds really great and the video is good too. :)

Doobie Brothers – Five Corners. Someone kill me, this was also an easy choice. They make some great music and I’ve been lucky enough to go to their concerts and meet them God knows how many times but I always make sure I get to see them do Five Corners, it’s just a 2 minute song but it’s just so beautiful and to know it’s based off Hawaiian music, Hawaii being my birthplace, it’s special to me. :)

Kansas – The Pinnacle. Okay, this was NOT an easy choice!! I also strongly considered Dust In The Wind, Carry On Wayward Son, and Can I Tell You, but in the end, I went with the long song in The Pinnacle after looking at the lyrics and watching and listening to it one last time. It’s outstanding. :D

Lynyrd Skynyrd – Saturday Night Special. Yay! Also not an easy choice, I was also considering Free Bird and Call Me The Breeze but in the end, Saturday Night Special went and got the win in my view. It’s just awesome music! Gives me a great feeling. :)

Queen – You’re My Best Friend. Woooo! It took me some considering before coming to the conclusion for this too! I also considered Bohemian Rhapsody, The Show Must Go On, and Somebody To Love, but in the end, I went for the best friends song. “Oooooo yoooouuu maaakeee me livvveeee!” ^_^

Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun. My favorite band of the 90’s and my favorite song of the 90’s, ohh, and my favorite video from the 90’s. I wasn’t into Grunge much but this is just fucking awesome and has a place in my heart. This song is haunting, powerful, and just speaks, it’s great. Chris Cornell is a fucking genius. The music video is easily one of my favorites ever, it’s so random, got that insane feeling to it and is just great, I’d love to have effects like that when playing guitar, I can’t put it in words…..I just fucking love this song! :D

Steely Dan – My Old School. It was really close between this and Reelin In The Years but in the end, I went with My Old School. It just has such a cool well ‘Old School’ feeling to it and no pun was intended. I just can slightly move my head with it and sing along, it’s really awesome music, the piano playing, the guitar duo of Denny Dias and Jeff Skunk Baxter is genius. I love it so much!

Johnny Cash – A Boy Named Sue. Okay, this was EASY! Now I love Cash and all his songs, but this is just fucking hilarious and this is a song I actually feel I can sing alright. It’s got hilarious lyrics and the way Cash sings it and his reactions as his sings it is just hilarious, this song is just fucking awesome. :D

Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall. This was tough. I considered Wish You Were Here, The Wall, and Learning To Fly but in the end, with Brick. “All and all you’re just another brick in the wall!”

Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit. Easy, easy. It’s just so powerful and Grace Slick is just something else when singing it! “Feeeeed yourrrr heeaaadd!” :D

Santana – Black Magic Woman. I’m not even all that into black girls overall but this is easily my favorite from Santana, it’s got a really mellow tune to it and it’s just awesome. :D

Billy Joel – The Longest Time. Took some time but I went with this one. It’s got a really good vibe in it to me and sounds awesome, I also considered Piano Man, Still Rock N Roll To Me, You May Be Right, and Leningrad.

Earth, Wind, and Fire – Boogie Wonderland. I always dance to this song! :D ! It’s just fun and well, great to dance to! I also really love September but in the end, gotta be Boogie Wonderland! ^_^

Janis Joplin – Down On Me. I also considered Piece Of My Heart but went with Down On Me, it’s really mellow and I can listen to it over and over and over again! It’s great! Janis had such a lovely personality, she was one badass hippie girl. :)

Steve Miller Band – Fly Like An Eagle. I also considered The Joker but in the end, I knew Fly Like An Eagle was the better song. :)

George Harrion – All Those Years Ago. Beautiful song, the lyrics are really heartfelt and awesome. Great dedication to a great man, from a great man. Rest in peace, John and George, you two were easily The best of The Beatles. :D

John Lennon – Give Peace A Chance. I also love Woman, Imagine, and Yer Blues and any of them could of taken the top spot but went with Peace in the end! Although, I’d say Imagine has had more of an impact than any of his songs and is probably his best work.

Elvis Presley – In The Ghetto. I’m not much of an Elvis fan at all, I think he’s alright and has had some good songs but I really do feel he was overrated as a musician, I think his media influence is really what got him so huge. In The Ghetto is a great song, though. Easy choice.

Mamas & Papas – California Dreamin’. EASY. C’mon, just hear it! “All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey, California Dreamin’ on such a Winters day!” Awesome!

Farklesnarks

July 6, 2008

Be prepared for a long entry, folks.

Well on the day before the 4th, dad and I decided to go into Charlottesville, which is a place I happen to like and it’s only about 30 minutes away from us. We had our things to do there, get our Sirius radio working again, have lunch with mum, who is working, look for a book I want, and see a movie. And a one, and a two, and a kabooom!

We drive up to some place that repairs vehicles but also sells things like TV’s, DVD players, and all sorts of electronics. About a week ago during the trip, our truck’s radio all the sudden did not enable the AUX option, therefore disabling Sirius radio from working. Dad and I are not all that smart in the fixing vehicle things area’s so we had the guys there take a look at it. 10 minutes later, our Sirius is finally back! :D
Believe me, dad and I were both thrilled, we love our Sirius radio very much! It delivers mass quantities of everything that matters to us both, music, sports, comedy, news, and even radio shows that were broadcasted before daddy was even born! Yeah, Sirius is loaded and the entertainment soars very highly once it is on, I love that little Sirius radio. ^__^

We then went to a great ol bookstore, Barnes And Noble. I’ve been wanting a book that was a favorite of Jim Morrison, who is basically my favorite figure of music of all time, and if you know me, you know I love tons of music but Jim and The Doors are right there on top, those dude’s just….idk…..were awesome, and yeah, they fucking rock! So anyways, that book is The Doors Of Perception, by Aldous Huxley.

It’s basically Hux talking about his experiences when taking mescaline, which can give people that psychedelicly feeling, then, he brings it into close details of how he felt and how it all was for him. I’m sure God knows how many musicians took this stuff in order to get into a different state of mind in order to write some songs or whatever, I know Jim Morrison and the rest of the band did that for sure. I’ve read about half of it so far and it’s definitely interesting, Huxley just describes it all in a way that really makes you think, I’m sorry, I can’t really explain it, it’s pretty awesome though. I’ll try to finish that as well as Heaven And Hell, which is also in the book, see the cover of the picture above.

After that, we went to the mall and walked around in there. I got lost in the video games store, Gamestop, I think it’s called, and I played some of the games in there. I was playing about on their X Box 360, playing good ol football game, Madden 09, I played two games and won em both, playing as my favorite team, The San Francisco 49ers, who I’ve loved since being a little kid. (I got a picture from Kindergarten representing my team with a Steve Young jersey to prove it! :D) I also played on the PS3 and played some NCAA 09, which is college football! Which I love more than even professional football. (college has more heart! :) ) I played as California and defeated the Navy football team in below 20 degree weather, that was fun! I also noticed a bunch of video games from years ago that I loved to play back in the days with my friends, all those years ago, at really really cheap prices! So now I wanna go back there soon! I think I’ll go with my mom to work and then walk to the mall to get them myself! :)

After that, dad and I drove by the theater to see what movies were playing, he wanted to see Will Smith’s Hancock, but I didn’t care for that and wanted to see what else was around, so we drove by and noticed that Get Smart would start at 1:30! Perfect! (It was around 12:25 and we had to go for lunch anyways) We had in mind to go there and see Get Smart after going to a Japanese restaurant to have lunch with mom, who was on lunch break hour from work.

We got down to the restaurant and I had a heart meal, which cost more than my parent’s meals combined, lol. My dad went off on me after ordering it but I just smiled it off and said, “haha…sorry dad!” He was mad for a little bit but I Survived! I had a bunch of pork strips, shrimp, rice, vegetables, and loved and ate it all, I was full as hell from it all, but dammit! It was good! :)

After that, dad and I went back to see Get Smart! Well, that movie was great! It had so many actors I recognized, hell, even one of my favorite football players was in it!  Bill Romanowski, who was a football player for the 49ers back in two Super Bowls and who was an insane motherfucker, he was a lot of fun to watch, he’s a bit crazy but hey, Romo rocks in my view! I’d seen him in a few movies and when it got to the plane scene, I thought I saw him sitting on the plane and I poked my dad. “Dad! I think that was Bill Romanowski!” (my dad actually met Bill and the entire 1989 San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl roster in Hawaii, another reason I’m so jealous of him) and he replied, “Pssh, quit the bullshit, you’re always acting silly and saying stupid bullshit.” I laughed and was like, “Okay, watch, keep your eyes out for him!” Then it showed Bill again and dad was like, “Whoa, okay, so that is Bill Romanowski..” I laughed and jeered, “Told ya!” It also had James Caan as the president. I’ve seen Caan in loads of films and he’s one of my favorites! He’s one hell of an actor, him playing as Brian Piccolo in Brian’s Song is enough to make anyone feel ready to cry! He can take plenty of roles and do damn good in them all! He’s funny too. Then there’s other funny faces that are familiar, Terry Crews, the huge pissed off dark black dude,  and good ol Bill Murray are playing minor agents, Masi Oka and Nate Torrence are the perfect duo to play a smart nerdy group. And Ken Davitian, what’s not to love about that funny, short, fat dude? :D
And then it has that gigantic dude from wrestling who can barely speak a word of English in it, his deep voice and just looking at him makes me laugh. I’m not much of a fan of Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock and well, I was happy good ol Steve Carell killed him off!  Jesus, Steve’s funny as all hell, that fucker can make anything funny!  I was very impressed with his role and I liked Anne too! Great film overall! ^_^

We went home after that and I got into reading a little of my book, but then, looking at Axel turned me off from the book and onto grabbing and playing him. I am strongly considering getting him painted red by a professional, I really think I’ll do it. I played him for a while and soon found myself online, I ended up noticing there was a writing roleplay thing for Battle Royale on there, I figured it’d be a fun writing challenge so I checked it out. Sadly, there try-outs for calling what character you get to be was during my trip so I missed my chance to take any of the ones I really wanted, there were still 10 to choose from though. Yoshio Akamatsu, Toshinori Oda, Hiroshi Kuronaga, Yuichiro Takiguchi, Sho Tsukioka, Kazushi Niida, Kyoichi Motobuchi for male characters, and Yukiko Kitano and Haruka Tanizawa for female characters. I guess I’ll go through the characters real quick.

Yoshio Akamatsu – Fat, bullied often, likes videogames and anime, few friends.
Toshinori Oda – Rich, ugly, stubborn, mean, clever, no friends, violinist.
Hiroshi Kuronaga – Unknown personality, gang-banger.
Yuichiro Takiguchi – Short, real nice to people, innocent, anime dork.
Sho Tsukioka – Freaky gay boy, gang-banger.
Kazushi Niida – Mega-perv, soccer player.
Kyoichi Motobuchi – Male class representative, rich.
Yukiko Kitano – Tiny girl, nice, peaceful.
Haruka Tanizawa – Tall, popular, volleyball player, best friend of class president.

In the end, I chose Oda just because he was who I placed a bet on to win in the movie when I first saw it and because, I figured he’d be a challenge for me to write with because I’m really different from him personality wise. So now I’m using him in an up-coming writing challenge that’ll start July 9th. It’s difficult using him but I’m giving it my best anyways! ^____^

I ended up getting to know one of the writers, Luara, we added each other on Facebook, MSN, etc etc. Although, if I attempt to talk to her on MSN, it crashes over and over again, so, even if I’m talking on MSN with a different friend and it works just fine, she’ll message me and I have to ignore her unles I want my MSN to die, I dont know why my MSN does that, it chooses favorites I swear, haha. Well, from her, I found out that the manga version of Battle Royale could be read online and I got the link from her. Since then, I’ve been reading that and have read lots of that. That manga is something else alright, it’s really gory, shows a buncha sexual themes, drugs, etc etc, all that dirty stuff all into their drawings. Overall, I’m enjoying that version so far, I’ve still gotta ways to go into finishing that.

I watched a movie with my parents on the 4th, Charlie Bartlett, which was awesome. It was about this high school kid who gets famous in his high school after selling prescription drugs that get people high to his school classmates, gets the Principal fired, goes out with (and eventually sleeps with) the Principal’s daughter. (But not in a jerk way, he does love the daughter for her and it wasn’t to do the whole, “Omg, I banged the Principals daughter way”, it was more of her dragging him in a car and making passionate love to him kinda way) Charlie was just hysterical, he had something to him that had me and my dad laughing good. My mom was pissed off during the whole movie, she was pissed because she expected to be working and went into the restaurant, where there were already people working and they told her to go home, well, my mom stayed pissed off even during a funny movie because she got the night off……..yeah…

I’m sorry, but YouTube was pissing me off really badly last night. I figured out that in playlists, videos could be played on autoplay for unlimited videos so I put a bunch of my music videos on there and tried to play em….but….fucking YouTube’s new video player fucks it up like 70% of the time at least! Okay, do you guys know how the video thingy can pop to the end and then go back to the beginning to play? Well, every time it does that (which is like 8/9 out of 10 times), it fucks it up and it goes to the next video without even playing the video! God dammit! YouTube downgrades their video player, the bastards. :(
I even searched for videos of people ranting about the video player and rated them all 5 stars, it’s ridiculous, why fix something if it aint broke? So when I tried to enjoy my music while lying on my couch, playing video games, it skipped most of the videos due to the player jumping to the end then beginning more than half of the time, ughh. I don’t get it, why the fuck would anyone want the damn thing to go from end, beginning, real quick….why? What’s the goddamn point?! >:0 (I’m sorry, just that shit is ridiculous and just pisses me off good)

I’ve recently been playing the video game, Kingdom Hearts 2 all over again, I had beaten that game half a year ago or something but recently started from the beginning and have been playing that at times.

I’ve been trying to keep myself occupied on things lately, when Summer ends, and I’ll dread that moment, I’ll be going to a different county for a school (THANK GOD!), Greene County, which is like 20 mins away. My dad teaches at the middle school there and it doesn’t seem much different than Madison but hey, at least it’s something different so I’m happy about that, anything and anywhere I’d take over Madison county’s shit school and public.

Shit……this entry was really fucking long!! Guess my life’s not all that boring or something, I don’t know, haha. :P

Ohhh, and sorry for getting lazy on this thing….I get distracted and forget to write in here. Okay, this thing’s got over 2100 words….. *shuts up*

11 Is A Cool Number

June 22, 2008

To start, sorry for not updating this lately, I’ve been quite busy doing a bunch of silly and fun stuff as well as just getting so exhausted that I hit the point of laziness.

Unfortunately, after about 5-6 days, I am no longer in California. I loved California, it felt like home to me. It was so diverse and had so many things in it. From entering Needles in 120 degree weather to driving through a bunch of slanted roads in mountains to get out of it to enter Oregon, I had tons of fun and met and made some more friends. :)
To be honest, I really feel like I need to visit this place soon again.

Well, I had a lot of great times at Tim’s house, he and his family were so nice, he, his wife, and his 20 year old daughter were just awesome and they let us stay there for 3 days. They welcomed us with open arms and provided dad and I some happy times. We watched a movie that was just beautifully put together and genius, Across The Universe. I dont know where to start with that, it was just amazing. It was a collection of Beatles songs put into a 1960’s plot with so many interesting characters from a boy, Jude, from the UK, coming to America and falling in love with a girl in the USA named Lucy, when he’s forced by the police to go back to the UK for not being a US citizen, he still finds his way back to Lucy. His best friend in America was a dude named Max, Lucy’s brother. Max had the misfortune of getting drafted into the Vietnam war, he did survive and return home but kinda shell-shocked and damaged mentally by the war. After Jude came back to the US for a 2nd time and seeing Max, Jude asked how he was and Max replied, “I’m doing alright below the neck!” LOL. We all laughed at that.
They ended up staying and traveling about a band where the lead singer was this woman, Sadie, who was so much like Janis Joplin and there was also a black guitarist named Jo-Jo, who was very much like Jimi Hendrix. There was also this gorgeous Japanese woman named Prudence, who was basically a weirdo lesbian. The characters were all cool and plenty of situations happened that included songs from the Beatles not being sung by the Beatles, but still being completely awesome! :D
That movie seriously must be one of my favorites ever, it’s right there with Platoon, Life Is Beautiful, Fight Club, Saving Private Ryan, Audition, and a few others. There is another one similar to it but instead of Beatles songs, it’s songs by Bob Dylan! Called “I’m Not There”, I’m so gonna check that out! :D
Unfortunately, we never did take photos with them at all. :(
Tim said to me that I’d be welcomed back at any time. :)

Dad and I explored Cal often, just him showing me a bunch of old places he used to hang out at and such. A record shop he went to often even 40 years ago, had closed down really recently so he was bummed about that. Lucky for us, though, dad (by accident) found the new location of the place and the owner that he knew who had the record place open for 40 plus years. Dad thanked him for all the times for the music and such and got a T-Shirt off the man’s shop brand. Needless to say, the dude had a ton of posters, collectibles, and so much more of old good shit from music, TV, and other cool stuff from the times ago. There was even a Gibson SG in a protected case in there, okay, so what? Well, that SG was used by the late John Cipollina, who was the lead guitarist for the psychedelic rock band, The Quicksilver Messenger Service. He’s really famous and sounds fucking awesome, so it was quite an honor to see his guitar from that close.

We spent our last 2 night’s a friend of my dad’s, Barry. Barry is this big fun-loving, black, hippie. He’s awesome, dude is just hilarious and kind as can be. His wife, Sidney, is also a sweet-hearted and kind hippie. They welcomed us with open arms and I had a lot of fun there, they also had a dog named Shadow, who was a huge but friendly dog. They had a guy named Steven over from Hawaii who was also a friendly guy. Like Tim, Barry said I was welcome anytime and that if I ever came back, that’d he take care of me and show me the ropes of California, he even said my personality and how I acted was Californian and that I belonged there and that it was obvious I belonged in California. We got some photos with them. :)

Before staying for our 2nd night at Barry’s, we spent 3 hours at another close friend of my dad’s through his California days back like 20 something years ago, Skip’s. Skip is a rich dude, multi-millionaire and his property shows it. It’s like two different houses and bamboo flooring, along with a beautiful scenic area that had a swimming pool and a hot tub. His wife is from Thailand and really seems like an interesting woman. When I first arrived, she was sitting in a chair by the pool as her two daughters, Asia, 10, and Aldora, 8, were in the pool. Well, I talked with Skip’s wife(dad and I never found out her name sadly) for about 10 minutes, I asked her what was Thailand like and how she’s liking California and such. She went away from the pool and soon I was just sitting by the pool while Asia and Adora swam. After a few minutes, I noticed the two of them talking and Adora was shouting and screeching in a funny voice, “Ask him!” I looked at them both and Adora laughed and smiled all silly while Asia kinda shook her head in a “*sigh*, my sister is so dumb..” way, lol. Well, what they wanted me to do was swing a tether ball around so they could both try to catch it and win a game. Well, I agreed to play it and swung the ball around the side of the pool as the two tried catching it, Adora ended up winning 10-6. Adora then kept asking me to enter the pool and said, “Get in the pool, it’s gonna be radical, dude!” Haha, well, I gave in and entered the pool. Before I did that, though, I had to give up all of my “money.” They handed me these strips of skinny green spuds and I had to rip them off and put them into an orange bucket in order for that money to help the hot tub foundation according to those two, lol. Well, basically for the next 3 hours, I’m acting as I guess a big brother role and play whatever little game the two wanted me to do. Volleyball, monkey in the middle, collecting the “money”, you name a game, I likely played it. I’ll admit it, I had fun though, it was nice to see the two little kids having so much fun, I had them laughing pretty good and well, making people smile and laugh is always fun. :)
Afterwards, their parents were both all over me, thanking me and telling me how their daughters loved me and how nice, friendly, funny, and fun I was. They showed me around some more places of their beautiful area. Skip’s wife is a Buddhist and she and Skip gave dad and I pennants, the one I got was a picture of her master and dad got one of some other Buddha guy, I felt quite honored by the fact she gave me something so dear of her. Their gifts are supposed to help bring well-being, happiness, good fortune, and safety so that’s all fine and dandy, then, ehh? :) They showed us the way out and Asia and Aldora came out again and hugged dad and I, both of them telling me to come back soon, thanking me for playing their games the past couple hours, take care, and that they’d miss me. The two of them really were nice girls, they’ve already seen a lot of the world according to what dad told me, so that’s pretty interesting, I hope their futures turn out well. Like Tim and Barry, Skip and his wife said I was welcome back at any time. :) I also thought, due to all of that time with the kids, that someday, I really hope to have my own kids. Maybe at my age, it’s a silly thought, but that’s what I think. ^_^
Here’s some pics from that 3 hour visit.

California was just amazing, I met so many amazing people and it truly felt like home. Those few days there were some really fun and unforgettable days. :)
The drive out of it was brutal as hell, to be honest. We were driving through this route was was constant slants over mountains and such from like 9 in the morning to 7 at night, I took 3 headache pills, more than I’ve ever taken in one day in my entire life. That drive was just brutal and dad said we must of done 2500 slants and he said he wasn’t exaggerating. We were both dizzy and felt sick. In the first 3-4 hours of driving, we pulled over and I nearly threw up. I never did throw up and soon, I was feeling alright and we found a Starbucks and a Mexican restaurant. Dad went in Starbucks, I went in the Mexican restaurant. Dad gave me $7, which wasn’t enough to buy anything. Lucky me, the Mexican lady at the counter, was extremely nice (and cute :P) and let me get by  with an $8 burrito meal with beans, cheese, and chips. It tasted great and I thanked her for it, she just smiled and acted friendly and said it wasn’t a problem and all and that it’s good to do kind things for people , I, eating the delicious food, smiled and agreed wholeheartedly. We made it through the drive and got to a Motel 6 and are still doing alright, here I am, in Oregon. I am going to visit family, tomorrow, my cousins, Daniel, 17, and Carla, 21?, and my Aunt. They used to live nearby when I was a kid and I grew up visiting them but they moved away to Seattle a few years ago and we hadn’t seen them much, since. I’m looking forward to seeing them again. :D
I gotta do another I think 9 hours of driving tomorrow but it shouldn’t be as slanted and bad as today, so that’s good. :)
I’ve had a lot of fun, I’ll never forget these experiences, it’s truly been amazing.
Thank you to Shar and Shley for being my audience in all of this, your comments on all of this are truly appreciated! Thanks both of ya! :D ^_^ <333

Over and out…..goodnight! ^_^

So You Ask: Who Is My Favorite Star Wars Character And Why?

June 4, 2008

Ahh, Star Wars, the legendary series that’s been passed generation to generation. I first saw those epic movies as a young lad and have still watched them since growing up. What I’ve been asked lately is this: Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why? Why, let me tell you! :)

JEK PORKINS – RED 6

Yes folks, THE almighty JEK FUCKING PORKINS!
Jek Tono Porkins was a pilot for the Rebel forces. He was fat. He was sexy. He kicked ass. He took no prisoners. He had a good appetite. He had moobs. He had flames on his helmet. He was a BAMF. HE BLEW UP THE MOTHERFUCKING DEATHSTAR!

Oh, I know what you will say! “Nuh uh! Luke Skywalker did!”
No! He did not!! JEK TONO PORKINS DID! I SAW IT WITH MY OWN EYES!

Early on, Porkins was called in unexpectingly at the last second to participate in the Battle of Yavin, the battle to take down the Death Star and save all! Anyways, a member of the Red team by the name of Wes Janson (<333) became ill, very ill. So ill, he could not get out of bed. Janson and Porkins were very close friends and Porkins knew Janson was upset. Porkins, being the great man and friend he was, told Janson, “Do not worry, friend, I shall take your place in this death mission, by the way, please tape the next episode of  Who Wants To Be  A Millionaire for me though, I’d appreciate that.” (Jek was always a sucker for TV shows) Janson was touched by the bravery of his close friend but he warned Jek: “The X-Wing I have is kind of having problems, it may not be the best one to fly but there are no other replacements, are you sure you want to fly this?” Porkins replied with a hearty laugh: “Only a pussy would back down from such a mission just because of that, I will take that X-Wing and blow down the Death Star!” Janson was said to be extremely touched by his friends bravery.

As I just said, Jek Porkins was given the worse X-Wing in the suicidal mission to blow down the Death Star. Jek was known as “Red 6″ of his pilot crew. There were 12 in the Red force and 7 in the Gold force, adding up to 19 pilots. Jek was 1 out of 19 in this suicidal mission. But you ask me this!: “How did Porkins blow up the Death Star? He died early. lolz”

My friend, you are wrong! Porkins blew up the Death Star, get over it. Sure, it shows in the beginning that his X-Wing indeed blows up.

But what happens after this? Oh, you assume he is dead, it’s the obvious assumption, ehh? Well, he’s not! He is very well alive! Let me explain what happens!

Jek Tono Porkins’ body was carried by the gravitational puddy force of the skies. Porkins knew his very legendary career as a pilot was to come to an end, he knew though, the overweightness in his body would keep him alive! Porkins knew he had to do something amazing before his demise.

There was even PROOF of him being alive after the explosion! In the movie itself, it was asked, “Red 6, have you seen Red 5?”

Porkins knew he’d be mourned and missed by all his comrads but he knew, he had to go down with doing something amazing! Porkins shifted the fatness of his body as close as he could, closer and closer to the Death Star! As he did that, he noticed many other X-Wings blow up, he knew he had to hurry, he had to insert himself into the Death Star, therefore clogging it up and blowing up the Death Star! Porkins moved and moved and finally! His gigantic ass was stuck into it! Porkins heard the Death Star make many noises and he smiled to himself. “This motherfucker’s about to explode!”

MIGHTY PORKINS BRACING HIMSELF IN THE EXPLOSION, INSIDE THE ASSHOLE OF THE DEATH STAR, LAUGHING VICTORIOUSLY! :D

Porkins dissapeared sure, but he took down the motherfucking Death Star down with him! Jek was elected to the Hall of Fame for the Rebels, his bravery and sacrifice had saved the planet from pure destruction.

“Nuh uh! Luke Skywalker blew up the Death Star!!”

STFU! HE DID NOT! WATCH YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!

As the video shows above, it proves it was not Luke who blew up the Death Star. Han Solo shot down the other TIE fighters so Luke Skywalker  would go home, Solo had been contacted by Porkins to do that, Porkins noticed Luke was in trouble and out of the goodness in his heart, knowing he was a relative to the princess, called Han Solo up with his cell phone, alerting him to shoot down the others and save Luke. Porkins was said to be a huge influence to Solo, Solo, upon knowing Porkins was there, came immediately, obeying his orders. (Solo thought Janson was to be Red 6 and not Porkins, which was why he did not fight earlier in the battle) Porkins kind act prevented Luke’s death, blew up the remaining TIE fighters, giving him the passage to the Death Star’s “asshole” as Porkins had referred to, blowing it up, saving the galaxy.

Jek Porkins is easily the baddest motherfucker of Star Wars, his sacrifice insured more Star Wars movies and saved everyone. It was in the first film his sacrifice was made, the audience of the film were touched by his actions, also liking that his sacrifice saved everyone, showing there would indeed be sequels,  therefore making the audience wanting more! If not for Jek Porkins, the Death Star would of lived, the Rebels would of died, and…..Star Wars would of been over in only one film! So, I ask that you take 45 seconds to think of this legendary hero, the best of Star Wars: Jek Tono Porkins. Rest in peace, mighty legend.
